Remove Scars with Skin Needling
Scar treatment with derma roller is very successful, especially compared with treatments that include acids or laser. According to the scar treatments performed by many physicians around the world, scars respond extremely positively to derma rolling. Our Derma Rolling System can be used on almost any kind of scar tissue, in order to improve the appearance of the scarred area.

what is Dermaroller?

It is an incredible skin roller or skin needling device that helps to stimulate collagen and elastin without causing damage to the skin. Unlike other methods for skin rejuvenation methods which causes extensive damage to the skin in order to stimulate collagen production the derma roller is safe and doesn't require any downtime.

How Does it work on Acne Scars?
Acne scars - like fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks all have one thing in common.......not enough collage. By using a derma roller you help to encourage your own collagen production which helps to break up the scar tissue and fill it in with newly formed collagen.
When the derma roller is rolled over the skin, it creates small punctures into the skin. This very slight damage causes the body to react by trying to heal the skin. It does this by initiating collagen production and elastin.
Regular derma roller sessions help to encourage an on-going healing process and eventually a reduction of the acne scar.

Derma Roller for Reducing Different Scars
Scar types that may be successfully treated by skin needling:
Acne scars,Facelift scars, hair transplantation scars, surgical abdominal scars, thoracic scars, breast plastic operation scars, post liposuction scars, orthopaedic scars, burn contractures.

The only kind of scar tissue that Dr.Roller would not have a positive result is keloid scar tissue.
CAUTION!
Skin needling should not be done on areas with active acne or other inflammatory skin disease. Acne should by all means be under control. If you are not sure if you should have skin needling treatments, please consult your doctor before the treatments.

How Skin Needling Works
The sharp needles perforate the scar bed and edges. In order to achieve an intensive perforation, each area should be needled approximately 15 to 20 times. This procedure softens and takes of the tension in tissue. During the procedure also the fibres that often connect the scar base with the fascia are being broken down.
Soon after needling, the scar perforation new capillaries and fibroblast can migrate through the scars walls into the former “scar channel”. This results in a re-vascularisation and a normalization of the previously hypo-pigmented surrounding tissue.
After many skin needling treatments the former “scar channel” is filled with new collagen layers, thus bringing the previous scar to normal skin level.

Depending on the affected skin condition and the quality of the scars, several treatments may be necessary in order to achieve a maximum possible result. It is common and most recommendedthat with skin roller with needle length 1.0 mm or longer to have four to six treatments at approximately six-weeks intervals.
The level of improvement rises with each treatment, but it may take up to three months in some cases to see the improvement.
